Through Energy Savers and NYSERDA’s Comfort Home Program, New York homeowners can save on home performance upgrades that make their homes more comfortable, healthy, and energy efficient.

What Is the NYSERDA Comfort Home Program?

Improving your home’s comfort by increasing its energy efficiency isn’t just good for you–it’s good for the environment and our communities too. NYSERDA’s Comfort Home Program makes energy-efficient upgrades more accessible and affordable to New Yorkers by offering home performance upgrade packages as well as incentives for qualifying upgrades. This is the only grant available for window replacement, and is for any and all homeowners, regardless of income.

How Does the Program Work?

This program is designed to make your family more comfortable in your home, reduce your energy bills, and get you on the path to a clean energy future. The program offers New York homeowners “seal and insulate” packages through qualified Comfort Home contractors, including Energy Savers.

If you’re interested in the program, start by contacting us to schedule a no-fee consultation. From there, we can determine the upgrade package that’s best for you. This might include services like:

Air sealing services
Insulation services
High-performance window upgrades
Heat pump upgrades

What Incentives Does the Comfort Home Program Offer Homeowners?

Insulation and air sealing services are the foundation of the Comfort Home Program–after all, poor insulation and air leaks in your home can negate the benefits of high-efficiency HVAC equipment! Below is an overview of some of the program’s incentives:

Seal and insulate attic and rim joist: $1,000
Seal and insulate attic and rim joist and insulate walls and floors: $2,500
Seal and insulate attic and rim joist; insulate walls and floors; and retrofit windows to ENERGY STAR: $4,000
Heat pump installation may be eligible for an additional incentive if completed within 24 months of the above upgrades
